A Marion County Sheriff's K-9 is doing fine after being choked by a burglary suspect the dog was chasing, deputies say. The Sheriff's Office posted video of the pursuit to Facebook. They say 30-year-old James Rutledge Jr. was wanted after smashing the window of a car parked at a daycare, stealing a purse inside, and using the stolen bank cards at a nearby Walmart. Tens of thousands of people marched though the streets of Glasgow today (January 11th), calling for Scottish independence. At one point during the march, demonstrators faced off against anti-independence protesters wielding Union Flags. The march was organised by the group, All Under One Banner, "due to exceptional political circumstances". It comes several days after Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon asked British PM Boris Johnson for powers to hold another referendum on independence from the rest of the UK.

A large piece of metal fell from a building in Glasgow on Saturday afternoon (January 11) as strong winds and rain hit the city.
