A garment manufacturer and his wife had a narrow escape after a speeding Hyundai Creta car hit their Mercedes sedan near Johar crossing on Dugri Road on Thursday night. The couple escaped unhurt, but their sedan was damaged, with all its five airbags getting inflated.

The police, on Friday, booked a head constable for cheating and forgery as he faked the signature of an assistant commissioner of police (licensing and security unit) to cancel a firearm licence. The FIR was lodged after the ACP wrote to the Division 5 police about it.
