Darshan Singh Yadav, a close confidant of Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and party chief Akhilesh Yadav, passed away after prolonged illness at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in Lucknow early on Saturday morning.
