ith the highly-anticipated John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum out Thursday, it seems there will be a new franchise that will dominate conversation at the workplace coffee station. When the first film hit theatres in 2014, it came out to relatively no fanfare. But through word-of-mouth and incredible action sequences, audiences came flocking to the cinema to see it and from there, one the biggest action franchises was born.

Of course, it’s Keanu Reeves who steals most of the thunder. Portraying the titular role of John Wick, Reeves is every bit the badass he plays on screen and proved so in his preparation for the new film. A video showing Reeves training with actual Navy SEAL and CIA contractor Shawn Ryan went viral, with the actor seen going through close-quarters combat tactics to make the movements of the assassin he plays credible.

But it now seems Reeves has met his match by way of his co-star for the third film, Halle Berry. A video of Berry practicing at a gun range with a variety of firearms has fans excited to see what she brings to the film, with the actress seen hitting multiple kinds of targets and reloading with ease. At the end of the clip, Keanu Reeves can be seen grinning excitedly, clearly impressed with Berry’s marksmanship.

Earlier this week, Halle Berry appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and relayed the injuries she sustained on the set of the film, saying she broke three ribs during training.

But if fan reactions are anything to go by, it was all worth it as Berry’s talent in the training video has many eager to see the third and, what could be, the final instalment in the franchise. Given that she’ll also be starring alongside one of Hollywood’s best action stars, this is a film you won’t want to miss.

John Wick 3 is set to hit theatres May 16.
