GameFly is shutting down its video game streaming service at the end of the month, the company says

- The company will continue to process disc-based game rentals through the mail.
- GameFly was acquired by game developer Electronic Arts earlier this year, but the company told reporters at Variety that they had decided to end the streaming service before the acquisition.
Gamefly plans to shut down its video game streaming service at the end of August, according to the company’s support line and messages being sent to the service’s users, Variety has learned.
The last day of support for the streaming service will be Aug. 31. Accounts will not be charged after that date, and the company plans to continue its disc-based game rentals through mail.See the rest of the story at Business Insider
