Armenian lawmakers give their approval to changes in government
In accordance with the amendments the economy ministry will be renamed as economic development and investment ministry, the energy and natural resources ministry will be renamed as the ministry of energy infrastructures and natural resources and the transport and communications ministry will get a new name as well – the transport, communications and information technology ministry.
The urban planning ministry will be refashioned into a committee.
Arpine Hovhannisyan, acting justice minister, finds this renaming very promising saying that it emphasizes new priorities and new approaches of the government.
“This is just the government’s vision and there is no need to look for other motivation, including personal or financial, or say that the new structure is an axiomatic truth,” she said stressing that she doesn’t rule out that some changes may be implemented also in structures of the ministries in the future. --0---
