Michaela’s alleged killer waits to hear his fate
The case against Bradley Noble, accused of raping and murdering a 16-year-old Michaela Adriaanse, was postponed to Thursday for final arguments.
|||Cape Town - The Western Cape High Court on Tuesday postponed the case against Bradley Noble, accused of raping and murdering a 16-year-old girl, to Thursday for final arguments.
The defence closed its case after calling their final witness, Byron Jansen, who testified briefly about seeing the accused at the Kalk Bay train station about a week before Michaela Adriaanse went missing.
The Hanover Park teen had gone to Muizenberg beach with a group of school friends, but had walked off on her own apparently after an argument.
She was never seen alive again.
Her parents reported her missing on Thursday 19 March, 2015. The missing teenager’s body was found with extensive injuries three days later in the mountains above Kalk Bay.
37-year-old Bradley Noble from Steenberg was arrested about a week later.
The teenager’s family says they are hoping for justice and want to see Noble sentenced to life behind bars.
Michaela was the youngest of five children – her older sister, Jodie Adriaanse, said she was a joyful child who always had a smile on her face: “She always made others laugh”.
The devastated sister said her family is broken: “Its not nice to see your parents in that state. My mother is ill and my father is not doing too well. There’s a lot of photos in the house of her and whenever they look at them they cry”.
Final arguments have been set down for Thursday, September 22.
