International lawyer slams Pashinyan`s actions against Church and  Karapetyan as "sign of weakness"

ArmInfo. Robert Amsterdam, a renowned American- Canadian international lawyer, has characterized Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's actions against the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) and his detention of Christian political prisoners can a manifestation of his political weakness. 

Amsterdam, a Canadian-American attorney specializing in human rights and political defense, is a member of the legal team representing Samvel Karapetyan, the prominent Russian-Armenian businessman and head of the Tashir Group. Karapetyan currently faces charges in Armenia including "calls for the seizure of power" and "money laundering." "Samvel Karapetyan's case is purely political in nature, and such acts of lawlessness only benefit Armenia's enemies. We will not let this disgrace go unnoticed," the lawyer wrote on his Facebook page.
