The Head of the Friendship Group noted with satisfaction that for both countries, recent years have been marked by high-level mutual visits, as well as active interaction on various platforms. Arusyak Julhakyan highlighted the dialogue between the legislative groups, recording the dynamics of the activation of cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups.
Marge Mardisalu-Kahar congratulated Arusyak Julhakyan on her appointment as the head of the Friendship Group. Highlighting the expansion of cooperation between the two countries, the Ambassador also noted that the cooperation between the friendship groups of the parliaments of Armenia and Estonia is quite active.
Both sides emphasized the fact of opening resident embassy of the Republic of Estonia to Armenia.
At the Ambassador's request, Arusyak Julhakyan spoke about the work to be carried out within the framework of the parliamentary elections to be held in Armenia in 2026, confronting security challenges, and the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the Government of Armenia.
Touching upon the Armenia-EU cooperation, Arusyak Julhakyan noted that our country is committed to the effective implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA). She expressed conviction that the New Partnership Agenda will help to strengthen new priorities for cooperation.
A reference was also made to the normalization process between Armenia and Turkey.
