As per the reports, director Siddharth Anand wants to present Abhishek Bachchan in a never-seen-before avatar in King. The actor is set to get into a completely new and lean physique to match up with SRK. About the same, a source told Pinkvilla, "Siddharth Anand is planning to present Abhishek Bachchan in an all-new avatar. Jr B will have a distinctive look in this action-packed entertainer. The idea is to craft a character with a menacing presence, complete with a particular physique. Abhishek has already started training to achieve a lean, sharp look. King will feature a face-off like never before between Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek."
The source added, "He has always been a versatile actor, but this will be his first full-fledged venture into the negative space alongside Shah Rukh Khan. His transformation will be a major talking point. Siddharth Anand is crafting an intense clash between two powerful on-screen personas, and even SRK is working on a specific physique to complement this dynamic."
King was set to go on floors this month. However, recent reports state that the movie will now begin its shooting in June. The first schedule is all set to start in Mumbai and then will move on to different places in Europe. The movie is slated for its theatrical release in the second half of 2026. It will be SRK's theatrical release after his superhit film Dunki, which was released in 2023. The action thriller marks Suhana Khan's first theatrical release. The actress made her debut in the Netflix film The Archies in 2023.
