Police: Man speeds away from traffic stop at nearly 100 mph
LARGO, Md. (AP) — Maryland state police say a Washington man reached speeds near 100 mph after he fled a traffic stop near Largo.
Police say 32-year-old Vincent Robinson ultimately crashed his car shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday after another vehicle pulled out in front of him. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Police say Robinson was pulled over shortly before 3 a.m. after he sped past the trooper. Police say when the trooper approached Robinson's vehicle, he sped away again.
Police say charges are pending and they believe Robinson had been drinking.
