PIERS Morgan has said Prince Andrew should give up his right to the throne after “refusing to cooperate” with the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
The Good Morning Britain host questioned why Andrew, 61, was still in line to the throne after his “abject refusal” to answer questions in the Epstein probe.
Prince Andrew – the Queen’s second son – is currently eighth in line to the throne.
The scandal-hit prince stepped back from public life last year for the “foreseeable future” after a car-crash BBC Newsnight interview about his friendship with US financier and disgraced paedophile Epstein.
Following the news that Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle, 39, won’t be returning as working members of the Royal Family, Piers lashed out at the couple on the ITV show after a ten-day break.
During a debate on whether Harry should surrender his right to the throne, Piers said he also had a “big problem” with Andrew’s place in the line.
“I have a big problem with Prince Andrew being on that list of succession given his abject refusal to submit to FBI questioning over what he knew about the billionaire pedophile friend Jeffrey Epstein,” he said.
“Why is Andrew left of that succession list when he’s effectively been retired from royal duty?”
Piers also took to Twitter to voice his views on the status of the royals after Harry and Meghan officially stepped down as working royals and were stripped of their royal patronages and military titles.
Piers asked his followers: “Presumably they will be giving up their Duke and Duchess royal titles too?”
In response, a Twitter user asked: “Did Andrew give his up?”
And Piers replied: “He should have his removed too.”
The scandal involving Prince Andrew started when Epstein’s alleged sex slave Virginia Roberts claimed she was forced to have sex with him three times when she was a teenager.
She alleges she first slept with Andrew in London in 2001.
Andrew has vehemently denied her claims.
He was forced to quit as a frontline royal and gave up the bulk of his charity commitments after many patronages severed ties with him following the Newsnight interview.
Andrew has faced down claims of his relationship with Epstein, who killed himself last year while awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges.
The prince was allegedly particularly close to Epstein’s British girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who was arrested and charged earlier this year in connection with his crimes.

Last year, lawyer Lisa Bloom, who represents five of Epstein’s victims, said she hoped Joe Biden and former prosecutor Kamala Harris would go after the prince.
She told the Mirror: “I do have hope that the Biden-Harris administration will be more aggressive in standing with victims of sexual assault.
“It is essential that Prince Andrew cooperate with authorities, as he said he would, so that they can fully investigate him and all others accused of enabling prolific predator Jeffrey Epstein.”
