KCMO: White restaurant manager victimizes black customer and loses his job for it
KSHB Action News reports that manager at Tomfooleries Restaurant & Bar yelled at a customer and told her to leave after she asked questions about a restaurant policy. Xzaviera Vaqua, who recorded the video, said it happened on Thursday night. When a waitress told her she needed to put down a credit card to order food, Vaqua said she asked if she could pay cash upfront for her meal. According to Vaqua, the waitress said she needed to ask her manager. Vaqua began recording on her cell phone as soon as the manager approached the table. In a phone call Sunday night, Tomfooleries owner Barton Bloom said, "the problem has been taken care of." Vaqua said the owner called her and said the manager in the video has been fired.
