USGS: 3.1 magnitude earthquake rattles near Edmond
EDMOND, Okla. – Residents in or near Edmond may have felt some shaking Tuesday afternoon. Just before 3:40 p.m., the U.S. Geological Survey recorded a 3.1 magnitude earthquake near Edmond, Oklahoma. The epicenter of the quake was located about 3.6 miles east of Edmond and 14.1 miles north/northeast from Oklahoma City. Residents in Choctaw, Midwest City, Warr Acres, and several other areas may have also felt the quake.
