Erdogan, accompanied by Mirziyoyev, visited Bukhara

On the third day of the visit, the high guest arrived in the Bukhara region.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met at the Bukhara International Airport of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In the Bukhara region, special preparations were made for this visit. The streets are decorated with national flags of the two countries, a panel with words singing about the friendship and brotherhood of our peoples is established.

The Uzbek and Turkish peoples are closely connected by centuries-old strong ties, their history is difficult to be considered separately from each other. The Turks consider the land of Uzbekistan sacred and revere it as a fatherland. This explains the immense respect and love of the Turkish people for our country and people.

In Turkey, well-known scientists and thinkers who have made a huge contribution to the development of world science are well-known and revered who are born on our land, the interest to their heritage is huge. One of such great personalities is the well-known theologian in the whole Muslim world, the founder of the teachings of Naqshbandiya Bahauddin Naqshband.

President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan began his trip in the Bukhara region with a visit to the mausoleum of Naqshband. Surahs from the Koran were read here.

The guest was acquainted with the life of the founder of the teachings of Naqshbandiya, his great contribution to the development of Islamic sciences, creative work carried out in the complex for the years of independence.
Last year, on the initiative of the President of our country, the Mir Arab Higher Madrasah under the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan began its activity on the territory of the complex. The President of Turkey is told about the history and activities of the madrasah.

Today in our country a large-scale work is carried out to promote the true humanistic essence of the religion of Islam, to study deeply the heritage of outstanding thinkers who have made a great contribution in the development of science. At the initiative of the head of our state, the International Research Center named after Imam Bukhari in Samarkand and the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent.

The guest noted that Uzbekistan is the sacred cradle of great thinkers, and he highly respects the history and rich spiritual heritage of our people.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accompanied by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the fortress Ark in Bukhara.

Bukhara, located at an important crossroads of trade routes between the West and the East, has a rich and glorious past that attests to the way of life, the creative potential, the spirituality of our people, and its socio-economic ties with other countries. Thousands of artifacts, archaeological finds, included in the collection of the regional museum of local lore, operating in the Ark fortress, also tell about it.

The heads of state got acquainted with the activities of the museum, inspected unique exhibits, visited the cathedral mosque on the territory of the museum-reserve.

In the throne room, which was preserved in the center of the fortress, the music program was presented to the heads of state with the participation of the region's artists who sang national songs glorifying the friendship of the peoples.

The presidents also got acquainted with the Poi Kalyan complex near the Ark fortress.

Every inch of Bukhara breathes history, monuments of the past testify to the great creative genius and spiritual potential of our ancestors. Unique architectural solutions and a special charm are the majestic Kalyan minaret, the Kalyan mosque and Mir Arab madrasah erected between the 12th and 16th centuries.

The unique Kalyan minaret is 46.5 meters high, the history of which is almost 900 years. This building is universally admired today.

The secondary specialized Islamic educational institution, functioning in the Mir Arab madrasah, was once the only one in the territory of the former Union. Today, young people take up religious and secular knowledge, foreign languages. Members of the delegation also visited the Kalyan Mosque.

The honored guest got acquainted with an exhibition of gold embroidery, jewelry, carpet weaving, embroidery and pottery crafts organized in the historical part of Bukhara.

The historical and architectural monuments of Bukhara, the national handicraft of our people made a great impression on the Turkish guests.
