[Men's Basketball] IU East comes back to beat Brescia
The Brescia Bearcats had national powerhouse IU East down by 15 points at half 41-26 but were not able to hold on. Brescia lost 82-71 in the Den on Tuesday. The Bearcats were led by Tavon Johnson with 32pts and Kayode Daboiku with 16 points. "We really played well in the first half that was our best defensive effort of the year. We fought thought screens and rebounded the basketball on their misses. At halftime I reminded them that we needed to keep up with that intensity and had to respond to the runs in the second half from IU East. I felt we lost the defensively intensity and got caught out of position." stated Head Coach Brian Skortz. "They are a top program in the county and have great experience and depth and we went toe to toe with them. We must learn from this and play a full 40 minutes. If we can do that we can play with anyone." added Coach Skortz. The Bearcats are on the road Thursday at OCU in Ohio gametime 7:30EST.
