More than 120 bills filed ahead of 2018 Legislature session
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — More than 120 bills have been filed for consideration ahead of the start of 2018 session of the Wyoming Legislature.
KGAB-AM reports that as of Tuesday, 67 bills have been filed in the state, including three joint resolutions, and another 54 bills have been filed in the state Senate.
The bills focus on variety of budget issues including one proposal to reduce most speeding fines.
The session is scheduled to begin on Feb. 12 and expected to end by March 14.
Lawmakers have until noon on February 14 to file bills for the session.
Because the upcoming session is a budget session, all non-budget items need a two-thirds majority vote for an introduction.
