In the West Bank, Israel is building more comfortable settlements to house American settlers
In the West Bank, Israel is building more comfortable settlements to house American settlers.
Thanks to the Trump administration, long-standing settlement construction projections are now unfrozen and going ahead.
The settlement project has been built from nothing in just 13 months since Trump's inauguration.
The average American family is used to more spacious housing than is normal in Israel. As a result, this places a demand in the West Bank to build housing which meets the standard of Americans. However, many construction projects were frozen during the Obama years, placing strain on the settlements.
Although it will not look as good externally as housing in America, the new settlement project will aim to provide a level of space American families are more used to.
