Picture: Pinsoglio’s note helping Di Gregorio save penalty in Juventus 2-0 Genoa
Juventus’ third-choice goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio helped his teammate Michele Di Gregorio save a penalty in the second half of a 2-0 win over Genoa, passing him a note detailing the various penalty-taking styles of Genoa’s players.
Juventus goalkeeper Pinsoglio contributed to a 2-0 win over Genoa on Monday despite not even being involved in the match.
As reported by DAZN, the third-choice Juventus keeper, in fact, ran all the way towards Di Gregorio between the sticks while Genoa’s Martin was preparing to take a penalty, passing his teammate a note with insight into how each Genoa player usually takes penalties.
The note said that number 3, Martin, a left-footer, would take the penalty to his left and Di Gregorio dived the right way to deny the Spaniard.
Di Gregorio had been introduced as a substitute in the second half to replace the injured Mattia Perin.
Di Gregorio had been subject to severe criticism in previous months and had lost his starting spot since mid-February.
