Unbeaten Japanese southpaw flyweight Sho Nogami (8-0, 4 KOs), 112, acquired the vacant OPBF belt when he scored a nearly shutout decision (all 99-91) over Shota Asami (14-14, 7 KOs), 112, over ten on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. Utilizing his advantageous height and reach, 5’6” southpaw Nogami landed light but fast one-two combinations all night, steadily piling up points with ease. Nogami’s national 112-pound belt was also at stake.
Promoter: Ohashi Promotions.
