Masayuki Ito announces that he will continue his career!
Late last year we saw former WBO Super Featherweight champion Masayuki Ito (26-3-1, 14) [伊藤 雅雪] lose a narrow 10 round decision to OPBF Super Featherweight champion Hironori Mishiro (10-0-1, 3) [三代大訓], in a non-title bout at Lightweight. Following the competitive, and razor thing, defeat it was unclear what Ito was going to be doing, and whether that would be the end of his career, or if he was going to look to bounce back and continue on in the sport.
Over the last few days we've finally seen Ito speak about his future, with the fighter turning to social media to state that he was going to continue his career going forward!
The fighter posted a simple, but short, message on twitter to explain that he would continue active duty, and that he would hate if this was the end.
At the time of writing it's unclear when Ito will be back in the ring, though we are glad that we now know that he will be back in action, and fingers crossed we won't need to wait too long to see "The Judge" back in the ring.
