CONOR McGREGOR coming back to the UFC next year “wouldn’t surprise” Dana White.
Notorious last month retired for the third time in four years after saying fighting “didn’t excite” him anymore.

But now he has changed his tune and reckons the 31-year-old Irishman could be back in the octagon soon.
White said: “As of right now, he’s retired.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he came out and wanted to fight somebody next year after all these different fights play out.”
McGregor – who himself has hinted at a return – has fought once this year.
He disposed of Donald Cerrone in under one minute back in January.
McGregor, who has not lost any of his punching skills, hinted that he was looking at a big year with several fights.
But coronavirus then stopped everything, and with no fights forthcoming he announced his retirement.
Since then, Justin Gaethje beat Tony Ferguson to land the interim UFC lightweight title.
That now leaves him all set to face Khabib Nurmagomedov – who recently lost his father – to determine the undisputed 155lb champ.
It also means McGregor’s route to the top is blocked, his position as top dog more than under threat from others.
White suggested that McGregor’s wealth – he is estimated to be worth £38million – has interfered with his career as a fighter.

He said: “There’s no doubt that Conor McGregor’s one of the best in the world.
“What’s going on with Conor McGregor is what goes on with all professional fighters when they become extremely wealthy and Conor McGregor is rich.
“He gets to pick and choose what he wants to do now and he’s at that point in his career where he’s got a few fights left.”
