Hearn promises Fury-Joshua will happen
The Matchroom promoter has his eyes set on an undisputed title unification bout.
With Tyson Fury now holding the WBC heavyweight title after thrashing Deontay Wilder this past weekend, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn is relishing the thought of staging an undisputed title unification between Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Obviously Hearn hadn’t made much headway with Wilder’s PBC team in the past, but perhaps he’ll have better luck here as Hearn says he’s now dealing with a more receptive counterpart. So speaking about the prospects of a Fury-Joshua fight, Hearn tells Sky Sports:
”Everybody is very clear on this. Everybody wants this fight - Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, MTK, Top Rank, Frank Warren, Matchroom. There are some hurdles to overcome on the broadcasting, but nothing too much.
“I promise you this fight will happen. If we have to fight (Kubrat) Pulev, we’ve got to beat Pulev, and if he has to fight Wilder, he’s got to beat Wilder again. Both of those things will happen. Fury will beat Wilder again and Joshua will knock Pulev clean out, despite Bob Arum telling us very differently.”

Hearn would continue by reassuring the public that he will do everything in his power to make a Fury-Joshua fight happen as he drools over the prospect of facing two British heavyweight champions fighting for the undisputed crown, saying they’d be idiots to let the opportunity pass them by.
