WATCH: Steph Curry says his three years with Kevin Durant 'were special'
Stephen Curry is finally sharing his thoughts on Kevin Durant's move from the Bay Area to Brooklyn.
Steph Curry is in Nevada ahead of the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament this weekend, and the two-time MVP finally shared his thoughts on Kevin Durant’s decision to go to the Brooklyn Nets. True to his reputation, Curry was classy Thursday in explaining his feelings about the Golden State Warriors’ offseason changes.
Curry called Durant’s three-season stint alongside the Splash Brothers “special,” and said he believes that the beauty of the NBA is that it offers superstars like Durant the opportunity to make their own decision and go pursue happiness where they want to. Despite being unable to three-peat as NBA Champions in June, Curry remembered Durant’s time with the Bay Area franchise fondly and was complimentary of the team’s new acquisition in the Durant trade, newly-minted All-Star D’Angelo Russell.
