Chelsea centre-back Luiz turned 32 on Monday, but he couldn’t celebrate on the day due to the West London’s side clash against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
The former Benfica man started against the Clarets as Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw – much to the frustration of the home fans.
Jeff Hendrick opened the scoring for the visitors, before N’Golo Kante and Gonzalo Higuain netted to put Maurizio Sarri’s side in front.
However, Ashley Barnes equalised from close range in the 24th minute, as Burnley held out for a vital draw that boosts their chances of beating the drop.
Luiz slammed the tactics from Sean Dyche’s men, claiming their approach to the match was “anti-football”.
He said: “We tried everything to win the game.
“It’s difficult when you play against a team who have two chances and score two goals and didn’t want to play the game.
