Former NFL Player Jon Dorenbos To Keynote PrimeTime
Nationwide Marketing Group’s PrimeTime events are always a source of inspiration for its independent retail members and vendors, and PrimeTime attendees this August will be inspired as Jon Dorenbos, former NFL Pro-Bowler turned renowned keynote speaker and magician uniquely blends his personal narrative and magical artistry as the buying group event’s opening keynote speaker.
“Jon’s story is one that our members will be able to relate to more than I think they realize,” said Nationwide CEO Tom Hickman. “The message he will deliver is all about how, despite whatever circumstances you’re facing or self-doubt you’re feeling, you can control the outcome by choosing to remain positive.”
The mantra of controlling the outcome by choosing to remain positive is encapsulated in Dorenbos’s book Life is Magic. Following his NFL career, the former long snapper and two-time Pro Bowler turned his attention to his tremendous skills as a sleight-of-hand magician to find his second act. After competing on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent where he finished third among over 100,000 competitors, Dorenbos took his show on the road, becoming a regular guest on Ellen and HBO Real Sports.
“I’m super excited to come back to one of my favorite spots, Las Vegas, to address the Nationwide Marketing Group membership at PrimeTime,” said Dorenbos. “I’m looking forward to rockin’ the Venetian this August.”
Life is Magic was recently selected by producer Mike Tollin and is being made into a feature film. The screenplay is being written by John Gatins, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his work on the drama Flight featuring Denzel Washington.
Dorenbos will deliver his keynote on Sunday, August 11 from the PrimeTime Main Stage. PrimeTime will take over the Venetian Convention & Expo Center August 11-14.
