A SAVVY shopper has spilled her top secrets on how to run a successful charity shop side hustle.
The Vinted seller, who runs Bee and Melon, posted a TikTok sharing her top three tips to make the most profit – and they may surprise you.
Talking on her account, @yougettimto, the bargain hunter encouraged her 2,813 followers to look in one section in particular.
She said: “Three tips I use every time I enter a charity shop.
“Number one, head straight for the shoes looking for brands like Nike, Adidas, highest profit, highest turn over, and will sell really quick.
“Number two, seasonal appropriate items, it’s winter at the moment so I’m looking for coats, jumpers, anything warm.
“Number three is plus size clothing, sells fast and is easy to sell and usually cheap – not sure of the reason but plus size clothing in my opinion sells much better than regular size clothing.
“Check out any rare items, cheeky tip number four, other than that I don’t really like teddies anymore because they’re too big and take up too much space and take ages to sell – low profit.”
To summarise: “One – straight to the shoes, two – seasonal appropriate things, and number three plus size items.
“If you want a decent amount of money you need more than one stream of income, give it a go!”

One user wrote: “Plus size clothing probably sells well because we can never find any anywhere! Shops are full of smalls!”
Somebody else suggested: “Plus size clothes are sooooo expensive, like £20 for a plain t-shirt, so we always look on Vinted or eBay.”
Another commented a different tip: “I’ve found that Jellycat teddies sell quite well and they’re usually pretty small.”

The ‘Queen of Vinted‘ has also shared her three fail-safe tips to make sure your clothes sell online.
Emma Sendall took to her TikTok account, @emmasendall, and posted her advice to fellow second hand sellers.
She said: “Number one – have lots and lots and lots of really high-quality, well-lit photos of the thing that you’re selling.
“Use as many descriptive words as you possibly can.
“Say for example I wanted to sell these denim shorts – I could put, ‘high-waisted denim shorts.
“Or I could put, ‘high-waisted, vintage, retro, cut off, denim, distressed shorts.’
“Have a look at other people who are selling things that are the same as what you are selling.
“If there are others for £3 or £4 less than what yours is priced at, nobody is going to buy yours.”
Another bargain hunter similarly posted on TikTok to explain how to find the best deals.
TikTok user @themonicaway, who describes herself as a “second hand expert”, revealed her top tips in a new video.
One piece of advice included: “Always visit the dress section, lots of people buy occasion wear only to wear it once or twice.”
