EMILIANO MARTINEZ – 6/10
Could have done more to keep out Villa’s goal but remained a calming presence.
ROB HOLDING – 6
Did a decent job without being spectacular but had the odd clumsy moment.
DAVID LUIZ – 6
Some good passes to open up the pitch, his confidence has rocketed in recent games.

SEAD KOLASINAC – 5
Not a fit substitute for Kieran Tierney in this role and looked uncomfortable throughout the match.
CEDRIC SOARES- 6
Quietly efficient but lacked the penetration needed to make a real difference.
DANI CEBALLOS – 7
Playing for his future as loan comes to an end and will be kept on if this confident performance was anything to go by.
Dani Ceballos impressed despite the defeat[/caption]LUCAS TORREIRA – 4
Very poor performance from Uruguayan and he was hooked at half-time.
BUKAYO SAKA – 6
A bit rusty sitting out wide but showed the odd burst of dynamism which makes him better suited to a place in the front three.
EDDIE NKETIAH – 5
Not the youngster’s finest moment as he looked isolated on the right throughout the game.
Hit the post with a header but probably should’ve scored.
ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE – 6
Dropped deep to support his two midfielders but that often removed him from threatening in the final third.
