Man Utd 5-2 Bournemouth: Greenwood double, Rashford pen, Fernandes and Martial stunners hand United entertaining win
MANCHESTER United crushed Bournemouth 5-2 at Old Trafford despite some difficult moments.
Junior Stanislas caught Harry Maguire and David De Gea napping to give Bournemouth a shock lead but an equaliser from Greenwood, a Rashford penalty and a Martial wondergoal put the Red Devils 3-1 up at half time.
Josh King then pulled one back from the spot after Eric Bailly was controversially adjudged to have handballed just inside the box.
But Greenwood’s second and a Bruno Fernandes free kick made the points safe for United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men could have had more in the second half if it wasn’t for a brilliant display by Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
