Loyola Marymount edges Cal State Northridge 69-68
LOS ANGELES — Stefan Jovanovic scored a career-high 16 points, including the winning put-back, to lift Loyola Marymount to a 69-68 win over Cal State Northridge on Saturday night.
Trailing by three with 54 seconds left, Loyola Marymount (4-3) got a pair of free throws from Jovanovic to cut the deficit to 68-67. Cal State Northridge then turned it over, setting up Brandon Brown’s missed layup, which Jovanovic put back with nine seconds left to edge the Lions back on top for good.
