Wintry system moving into northern Indiana, snow likely
SYRACUSE, Ind. — The National Weather Service says blowing and drifting snow accumulating to as much as 6 inches is possible in northern Indiana.
The weather service has a winter weather advisory in effect through Friday afternoon for the five counties in northern Indiana that border Michigan. Forecasters say wind chill temperatures are likely to be between 5 degrees to 15 degrees below zero.
Lake effect snow is expected to develop Thursday with more significant accumulations likely late Thursday afternoon through Friday morning.
