Zhoghovurd: Armenian judge accused of bribery insists on ‘innocence’
An Armenian judge facing accusations over bribery is said to have dismissed his links to the scandalous incident.
Ishkhan Barseghyan who was caught while taking US $1,000 from a citizen in a Yerevan underground passage did not accept his guilt during interrogation, according to the paper.
No further reports are available as the judge himself has banned his lawyer from giving comments to the media. If found guilty, nonetheless, Barseghyan is threatened with 7-12 years of imprisonment, says the paper.
