Life impossible in Aleppo: More Syrian-Armenians arrive in Yerevan
Several Syrian-Armenians were in Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport on Friday morning to see in relatives who left Aleppo after the recent escalations.
One of the families, which left the city on Wednesday, had to choose Lebanon as a transit route to fly to their historical homeland.
“A human being can no longer live in Aleppo, with bombs falling down all the time,” the family’s father said when asked to comment on the situation in the city.
He added that despite the war devastations, many Armenians have to stay for family or financial reasons.
The Syrian-Armenian said he hopes to find a “convenient job” in Armenia.
An elderly woman who was among the passengers, said “The situation is very bad. Everyone seems to be dead now.”
