[Men's Track & Field] SXU Men's Track & Field Shines at ONU Tiger Open
Bourbonnais, Ill. – Sophomore Ayobami Arokoyo (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) set the school record in the Shot Put with a first-place throw of 15.16m to break his own record set last season, and he took first place in the Discus while improving on his NAIA 'A' Standard toss of 51.34m. Sophomore Lendale Franklin (Chicago, Ill./Roosevelt/Argo Community) ran the second-best time ever for the Cougars, and a new personal record (PR), in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 15.06 second. Sophomore Ronnie Foster (Peoria Heights, Ill./Peoria Heights) also took home first place in the Triple Jump with a leap of 13.79, the second-best in team history. Senior Christian Serrano (Berwyn, Ill./Morton/Morton West) had the best time in the 3000m Steeplechase at 10:39.49 and the 4x100 Relay Team clocked in at 44.19 second to take first for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team at the Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Tiger Open on Saturday in Bourbonnais, Ill.
