Juvenile dies after being hit by train in San Lorenzo
A juvenile pedestrian died after being struck by a train in San Lorenzo on Wednesday morning, officials said. The Alameda County Fire Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a train near Grant and Railroad avenues about 8:06 a.m., according to Aisha Knowles, a fire department spokeswoman. Union Pacific officials shut down the track to investigate the incident, she added.
