Horse breeders arrested, charged with animal cruelty
(AP) — A husband and wife have been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after authorities seized more than 30 horses and numerous other animals from their East Hampton property.
Police say 36-year-old Thomas Olajos and 37-year-old Melanie Olajos are each charged with 35 counts of cruelty to animals stemming from the alleged mistreatment of 32 horses, 78 chickens, 19 rabbits and two dogs.
