Kenner man faces life in prison in fatal shooting
(AP) — Jefferson Parish authorities say a Kenner man will spend his life in prison after his conviction for second-degree murder and other crimes.
The district attorney's office said the jury heard testimony about Maize shooting at his wife, pistol-whipping her, slicing her left cheek with a knife and ordering her to "kiss the ground" before beating her with a baseball bat.
