ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri man has drowned after tumbling down an embankment, hitting his head and falling into the Mississippi River, authorities say.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 66-year-old Robert Sandbothe, of O’Fallon, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene Friday afternoon at Two Branch Marina.
It wasn’t clear what led Sanbothe to fall down the embankment in St. Charles County.
