Banged-up backfield: 49ers’ Mostert, Coleman out with knee injuries
The 49ers will be turning to the guy behind their next man up in the backfield when they visit the Giants on Sunday. Starting running back Raheem Mostert will be sidelined with an MCL sprain he suffered in a 31-13 win over the Jets and his primary backup, Tevin Coleman, will be out with a sprained knee. Coleman is expected to miss “multiple weeks,” ESPN reported.
