100 Club, Doggett Ford donate new F-150 to recovering HPD pilot
A Houston Police Department officer severely injured in the May crash of an HPD helicopter was given the keys to a new top-of-the-line Ford F-150 this week. The 2020 F-150 Platinum was presented to Chase Comier, a senior officer and pilot of the copter, by The 100 Club and Doggett Ford. The crash, which remains under investigation, killed Jason Knox, an HPD tactical flight officer.
“Chase has a fighting spirit to survive and recover. Not only am I grateful for his friendship, but we are all indebted to him for his service to the community since being sworn in as an HPD officer in 2006,” said Mosley, vice president and general manager of Doggett Ford. “I’m proud that The 100 Club and the Doggett Ford team can present Chase with this small token of our appreciation.”
The 100 Club is a nonprofit group that provides financial support to the dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. Leslie Doggett is CEO of Doggett Equipment Services Group, a heavy-equipment dealer with nearly $2 billion in annual sales. Serving Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico, the Doggett group was ranked Houston’s nineth largest private company in 2020 by the Houston Chronicle.
