Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Costco halt all food sampling to reduce coronavirus spread
As people continue to stockpile food items amid the coronavirus pandemic, grocery stores across the country are discontinuing in store food samples to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. On Friday, Whole Foods announced they would make several changes in their day to day operations that included temporarily suspending all food samples until further notice. Trader Joe’s made a similar announcement on Wednesday, and Costco has also stopped handing food samples to customers across some California, Washington and Florida stores, according to USA TODAY.
