A 26-year-old Mountain View man was arraigned on child pornography and cyberstalking charges after hacking a 16-year-old girl’s Facebook account and posting explicit pictures of her after she ended a relationship with him, prosecutors said Thursday. (AP) — Two people died Friday and another was hurt in a stabbing on a Portland light-rail train after a man yelled racial slurs at two young women who appeared to be Muslim, one of whom was wearing a hijab, police said. Before the stabbing the assailant on the train was ranting on many topics, using "hate speech or biased language," and then turned his focus on the women, police Sgt. Pete Simpson said. BART police are seeking the public’s help in the search for a man believed to have groped a woman on a Warm Springs bound train this week, the agency said Friday. The assailant, estimated to be about 5 feet 8 inches tall and in his early 20s, boarded the train at the Richmond Station on Wednesday about 8:35 p.m., according to Alicia Trost, a BART spokeswoman. EL MONTE, Calif. (AP) — A small plane has crashed near a small airport in Southern California, but the three people inside came away with only minor injuries. The Los Angeles County Fire Department says the Cessna plane crashed into a wash that runs alongside El Monte Airport on Friday night. A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a 2014 shooting death in Sunnyvale, police said Thursday. Investigators believe the motive for the shooting was gang-related, Capt. Shawn Ahearn said in a statement. Police announced that they were offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Castro’s killer on Feb. 23.
