(AP) — Tennessee police say seven bounty hunters and bail bondsmen have been indicted on first-degree murder and other charges in the killing of an unarmed man and the wounding of another. Authorities say 24-year-old Jalen Johnson and another man were wounded April 23 after the bounty hunters and bail bondsmen confronted Johnson and his three friends in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Clarksville.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say a man running for the Corvallis School Board died from a self-inflicted gunshot. The Benton County Sheriff's Office says 55-year-old Kenneth Real of Adair Village was found dead after he called dispatchers Friday and asked them to send deputies to a location near his home. Pennsylvania State Trooper Robert Politowski says the woman he arrested early Tuesday is actually 36-year-old Holly Lynn Donahoo, of Louisville, Kentucky.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Sheriff's deputies had spotted a man walking barefoot down a New Mexico road with his feet full of cactus, so they offered him a ride. Turns out, the man had escaped from the state penitentiary by walking out the front door.

MADRID (AP) — Spain's Energy Ministry says it will not reopen a large offshore gas storage plant that was shut down in 2013 following minor earthquakes in the area. A ministry statement issued Wednesday said a study carried out by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University concluded that a fault line close to Spain's eastern coast had been put under stress because of gas being pumped into the facility.

Police shot and wounded a man in East San Jose late Tuesday night after responding to a family disturbance call — the third officer involved shooting for the police department in 2017, officials said. (AP) — Republican lawmakers have introduced another bill that would allow University of Wisconsin System and technical college officials to expel students who inhibit someone's free speech rights. The measure also would prohibit administrators in both systems from expressing themselves on any public policy controversies and require schools to let speakers onto campus even if they can't guarantee their safety.

The 56-year-old Casey plans to seek a third six-year term in next year's election and is a fierce critic of Trump. Trump won Pennsylvania last fall despite the state's Democratic registration edge.

LONDON (AP) — A jury has found a university student with an interest in weapons and extremism guilty of planting a home-made bomb on a busy London subway train. Damon Smith, 20, faces years in jail after building the device at home with a 2-pound ($2.58) clock from Tesco after googling an al-Qaida article entitled "Make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom."
