INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Inglewood police say a man found fatally shot in the Los Angeles suburb during the weekend was an Uber driver. A police statement issued Monday says the victim, 27-year-old Andre Jamal Bayyan of Los Angeles, was working as an Uber driver at the time of the incident. Police responded to telephone calls of shots fired on West 109th Street shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday. LAS VEGAS (AP) — An energy task force called up by the governor is meeting to discuss hot-button issues including rooftop solar rates and the Clean Power Plan. The task force is one way Gov. Brian Sandoval is responding to uproar over new rates set last year for net metering, the process of people selling excess energy from their solar panels back to the utility.

The St. John Coltrane African Orthodox Church will leave its storefront sanctuary on Fillmore Street at the end of April, ending a long eviction fight, the church has confirmed. Tesla Motors wants its next electric car, the Model 3, to target middle-class drivers. Tesla announced Monday that reservations for the $35,000 car will cost $1,000, compared to $5,000 for the Model X crossover SUV that started rolling off the production line last year.
