Trains, ferries added to help New Jersey pope riders
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — People traveling from New Jersey to Philadelphia on Sunday to see Pope Francis were again being urged to use mass transit if at all possible, particularly with a million people or more expected to attend an outdoor Mass in the afternoon.
Pope Francis met with Bishops at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary on Sunday morning, telling them he met with a group of survivors of clerical sex abuse and promised to hold accountable those responsible.
Later in the morning he is scheduled to visit a prison, the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, before celebrating an outdoor Mass on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the afternoon.
Transportation officials warned anyone who doesn't have to drive within a 50-mile radius of Philadelphia to stay put.
