The so-called "mayor of Mar-a-Lago" has alienated other insiders by starting his own super PAC supporting Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
Other Trumpworld social climbers are suspicious of Sergio Gor, who has grown especially close to the former president and his family, after starting up the political action committee that has earned him a new, derogatory nickname: 'the patio panhandler," reported The Daily Beast.
“It’s a power play and a financial play,” said one Trumpworld source, who described the newly established PAC as “almost laughable.” “Sergio’s obviously just trying to find a new way to line his pockets,”
The PAC isn't due to release its first financial records until April, so it's not clear how much money he's raised or where it's gone, but sources close to the ex-president doubt Gor's intentions.

“He basically found a way to make himself rich,” said another Trumpworld source.
Gor previously served as deputy chief of staff to Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) until joining the Trump fundraising operation in 2020, and Federal Election Commission records show about $1.5 million in donations have gone into his two related entities, while he has personally contributed about $2,500 in his lifetime.
A source close to Trump told The Daily Beast that Gor was miffed that he “didn’t get the keys to the kingdom” when the 2024 operation came together, so he started up the super PAC “Right For America" in January with plans to put tens of millions of dollars into his re-election campaign with a major commitment from GOP megadonor Ike Perlmutter, the Marvel Entertainment mogul.
“Sergio wanted a flashy title, chairman or director of this or that, but that didn’t happen, and that doesn’t get you as much gravitas on the patio,” that person said. “But Sergio does get that kind of title with this super PAC, even though he gave it to himself."
Gor, a close friend of Donald Trump Jr., is a fixture at Mar-a-Lago, occasionally even sitting next to Trump himself on the patio, but some members are annoyed that he was allowed to join the private club on a payment plan instead of paying a $200,000 initiation fee.
“Other MAL members are like ‘Wait, you gave the Patio Panhandler a payment plan so he can annoy the sh*t out of us begging for money on the patio when we just want to be left alone in peace?’” said one source close to Trump.
