According to White House trade adviser Peter Navarro, COVID-19 was “a product of the Chinese Communist Party.” On Sunday, Navarro accused the Chinese government of spawning the virus and sending hundreds of thousands of citizens around the world to spread it.
He has also suggested the Chinese Communist Party is “guilty until proven innocent.” He argued it’s an “open question” if China purposefully spread the virus.
The adviser further claimed China is responsible for all COVID-19 deaths in the U.S.
“They spawned the virus in China, they hid it for two months and they killed over 100,000 Americans. The beat goes on and on. The question is, why aren’t they responsible for the trillions of dollars of damage they’ve inflicted on us?” – Peter Navarro, White House trade adviser
He also refuted John Bolton’s allegation that President Trump asked Chinese President Xi Jinping for help with reelection. He has said everything Bolton pushed for during his time in the White House would have made the country less peaceful and less prosperous.
