BMW India Launches Exclusive M4 CS at INR 1.89 Crore
BMW India has unveiled the all-new BMW M4 CS, a high-performance model that blends track-ready capabilities with road practicality. This is the first time a BMW CS model has been introduced in India, adding to the exclusivity of the launch. With a limited production run the M4 CS is available for a price tag of INR 1,89,00,000 (ex-showroom)
Power and Performance
The BMW M4 CS is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that generates 550 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. The car’s enhanced powertrain enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed electronically capped at 302 km/h. This makes the M4 CS the most powerful and fastest series-produced M4 to date.
Engineered for both road and track, the M4 CS benefits from BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Drivers can also switch to rear-wheel drive for a more dynamic experience, with options to adjust settings for the engine, chassis, and steering via the M-specific Setup button. The car’s Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7 minutes and 21 seconds highlights its track prowess.
Design and Lightweight Construction
BMW has applied extensive lightweight design principles to the M4 CS, using carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) for components such as the roof, center console, and front-end elements. This results in a weight reduction of about 20 kilograms compared to the M4 Competition Coupé, enhancing both agility and performance.
The exterior design is distinctively aggressive, with a frameless kidney grille, red contour lines, and unique M4 CS badging. The 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are paired with M Compound brakes as standard, though buyers can opt for M Carbon ceramic brakes for improved stopping power.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the M4 CS continues its focus on performance with M Carbon bucket seats, a CFRP center console, and an Alcantara steering wheel. The BMW Curved Display, a fully digital instrument cluster, provides M-specific readouts and helps the driver focus on the road. The car also features advanced tech, including the BMW Operating System 8.5 with a Head-Up Display and connected car services through BMW’s ConnectedDrive system.
For safety, the M4 CS is equipped with a comprehensive range of features, including Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), M Dynamic Mode (MDM), and active M Differential, ensuring stability in various driving conditions.
Exclusivity and Availability
The BMW M4 CS is available in exclusive paint finishes such as Riviera Blue and Frozen Isle of Man Green, with a full Merino leather Anthracite interior as standard. This limited-production model will be sold as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit in India, making it an exclusive offering for the Indian market.
