Alashkert draws Champions League qualifier with BATE
The match at Borisov Arena in Minsk ended 1:1. BATE’s Alexei Rios was the focus of attention, first scoring for his team and later evening the score with an own goal.
Alashkert manager Abraham Khashmanyan noted that BATE was the better side in that game.
“We played the way we planned and we managed to influence the game in the second half. I told the players to be more intense before the second 45,” the manager told after the match.
The return game will take place on July 18 at the Republic Stadium in Yerevan.
