Netflix will livestream BTS first concert after hiatus
Netflix will stream a live BTS concert next month, showcasing the phenomenally popular K-pop group's first new songs since their hiatus and kicking off their upcoming ARIRANG World Tour. If that wasn't already enough to excite fans, there's a behind-the-scenes documentary they can look forward to as well.
BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG will premiere March 21 at 7 a.m. ET / 4 a.m. PT on Netflix, streaming live from Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. The concert will see BTS' seven members perform a selection of songs from their extensive catalogue, as well as several from their upcoming album ARIRANG. BTS' fifth studio album, ARIRANG, is scheduled for release on March 20 — the day before the concert. As such, Netflix's stream will be BTS' first live performance of these songs.
Netflix has also announced the new documentary BTS: THE RETURN, which will premiere one week after the live concert. Though this is far from BTS' first concert film or documentary, BTS: THE RETURN distinguishes itself by following the K-pop group as they reunite to record ARIRANG after a lengthy hiatus spanning almost four years.
BTS went on hiatus in December 2022, with the members signing up to complete their mandatory service in South Korea's military. The last member to be discharged was SUGA in June 2025, allowing BTS to resume activities together. While some BTS members have released solo projects during the group's hiatus, ARIRANG marks their highly-anticipated return as a complete group.
BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG and BTS: THE RETURN will premiere March 21 and 27 on Netflix.
